The challenge was to improve crew engagement with training material on McDonald’s internal comms website – Our Lounge. The solution was to produce a series of modular but engaging content hubs to work within the strict technical limitations of a legacy platform. The project also involved a responsive email design to help drive this audience to the site. A fun part of the job was designing a series of games and competitions featuring UGC by crew members
The Uniform hub was designed for the introduction of the new McDonald’s uniform in 2013. The hub design proved to be highly effective in terms of crew engagement and it was used as the template for all subsequent section hubs on the Our Lounge platform.
UX design and art direction for a web-based application for the Smurf Yourself competition. The responsive site enabled McDonald’s crew members to upload, customise images of themselves with smurf accessories and slogans.
